About the Client
Smoothere’ is a manufacturer of “Old School Safety Razors” based in Brisbane Australia. Prior to going live on the worlds biggest retail stage Amazon.com in the USA late December 2015 the company came to us with an idea and needed help them bringing those ideas to life. We had the opportunity to be involved with all aspects of the design, sourcing, manufacturing, distribution and marketing of a the Smoothere’ range of safety razors.
The Problem
Armed with only an idea and a solid manufacturing plan Smoothere’ approached our Private Label Expert Chris Holloway to design and develop the brand identity and help them stand out on the world’s biggest marketplace and make it happen.
Our Solution
The Journey began with the design of the brand and the tag line. In the initial design stage we focused on a “lion concept” as the characteristics of such a beautiful animal portrayed exactly what we wanted the product to represent i.e. strength, quality and leadership.
Before the brand could be launched into the market place the product packaging needed to be designed and product images needed to be created. The Internet Initiatives team were able to create product packaging that was crisp, clean and screamed manliness so as to appeal to the widest range of customers that were interested in taking on the lost art of DE Shaving. In addition to the main brand the team designed a product specific branding guideline for the company to allow them to add multiple products to their line with ease and effectively “future proof” any major design considerations by adding specific product naming identities.
The Result
The flagship product the Sampson Series was the first of its kind and quickly took off allowing the owners of the business to validate their product idea and go on to launch several other safety razors. At the time of writing this case study the tiny little razor has done in excess of $200,000 in sales on Amazon.com
